1. Controller
The controller is the publisher of Taxi-Finder.co.uk. Full identity and address details appear in the Legal notice. Questions and data protection requests may be sent to linktome13[at]gmail.com.
2. Data processed and purposes
Taxi-Finder.co.uk processes data needed to operate, secure and measure the service and to handle requests, including:
- searches, pages viewed, clicks and browser or device information;
- IP address, verified hostname and security events used to prevent fraud, bots and abuse;
- location coordinates when a visitor grants browser permission, used to sort nearby operators;
- professional-form details, messages, evidence and photographs submitted voluntarily;
- events connected with displaying or using operator contact details and with technical-provider availability;
- technical events connected with the PWA or Home Screen prompt and installation.
3. Lawful bases
- legitimate interests: website security, prevention of abuse, technical operation and strictly necessary service statistics;
- consent: browser geolocation and optional audience measurement, advertising or similar technologies;
- steps taken at the data subject's request: handling forms submitted by professionals;
- legal obligation: retaining or disclosing information where required by applicable law.
4. Recipients and processors
Data may be accessed by authorised Taxi-Finder.co.uk administrators and, where necessary, by the hosting provider, email provider, consented audience-measurement or advertising services, and technical providers required to operate the website. Personal data is not sold.
A provider may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where required, the controller relies on an applicable adequacy regulation, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or another lawful transfer safeguard.
5. Retention
- active security data and IP addresses: 30 days by default;
- security archives, where enabled: up to 365 days by default;
- technical logs: 30 days, unless an incident requires evidence to be kept longer;
- professional requests, messages and attachments: three years after the last exchange, unless a legal obligation or dispute requires longer retention;
- aggregated usage and PWA events: up to thirteen months;
- consent choices and optional technologies: up to thirteen months.
6. Geolocation
Location is requested only after a visitor action and browser permission. It is used to display or sort nearby operators. Permission can be withdrawn at any time in the browser or device settings.
7. Professional form and attachments
Submitted information and files are used to create, correct or remove a listing and to respond to the professional. Attachments are stored in a private area. A photograph is made public only after it has been reviewed and attached to a taxi listing.
8. Operator contact details
When a visitor requests operator contact details, technical data strictly necessary to process the request may be supplied to the relevant technical provider. It is not placed in unprotected public logs.
9. Cookies and similar technologies
Strictly necessary cookies support sessions, security and display preferences. Optional audience-measurement and advertising technologies are used only under the choices presented by the applicable consent interface, in accordance with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR). Refusing optional technologies does not prevent directory searches.
10. Individual rights
Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, a person may, where applicable, request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent at any time. Identification may be requested only where there is reasonable doubt about identity.
Requests may be sent to linktome13[at]gmail.com and will be handled within the applicable legal time limit. A complaint may also be made to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
11. Security
Taxi-Finder.co.uk uses measures including HTTPS, administrator access controls, CSRF protection, prepared database queries, file validation, controlled backups and limited, sanitised logging.
12. Google advertising
If Google AdSense is enabled with the dedicated Taxi-Finder.co.uk account, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to provide advertising, subject to the visitor's consent choices. Advertising is disabled in the installation package until dedicated identifiers are entered by an administrator.
Advertising preferences can also be managed through Google Ads Settings. The consent interface provides information about participating advertising partners and their processing.
